Orléans Express Enhances its Service Between Quebec and Ontario

Montreal – February 14, 2022 - The Orléans Express, Keolis Canada’s intercity transportation service, is announcing the upcoming enhancement of its daily routes on the Montreal-Ottawa/Gatineau corridor. This decision has been timed with the recently announced easing of health measures, and allows the Keolis to add more departures to the route as of April 1st, improving the entire network.

"With the restrictions heading towards a gradual return to normal, we hope to be in line with our summer projections and actively contribute to the recovery that is taking shape," says Pierre-Paul Pharand, President and CEO of Keolis Canada. "We hereby confirm the perpetuity of this service, and take this opportunity to highlight our clear, consistent and sustainable vision of maintaining, improving and developing our bus transportation services, which have unfortunately been interrupted too often over the past two years”.

There will now be additional options for the workers, tourists and university students who make up a significant portion of the clientele who usually travel this route. “We aim to enhance our travelers’ experience through the progressive expansion of our service offer, which will have a positive impact on all routes that are closely or remotely related,” added Mr. Pharand.

Following the interruption of another carrier’s services on the Montreal-Ottawa/Gatineau corridor during the pandemic, Keolis Canada reactivated bus transportation services in July thanks to a special permit and has been operating the route since.
