Keolis Supports Hurricane Relief Efforts in Florida

Transit operator donates $10,000 to area charitable organizations, establishes matching program for employee donations

BOSTON – October 24, 2022 - Keolis North America (Keolis) today announced the gift of $5,000 to the Jewish Federation of Broward County and $5,000 to Volunteer Florida. These initial contributions to hurricane relief efforts total $10,000.

Keolis chose to donate to the Jewish Federation of Broward County as a long-term partner that provides key support services to those in need. That support includes aiding with necessities like clothing, food, and shelter. Additionally, Keolis donated to Volunteer Florida as the official relief nonprofit charged with helping Florida respond, recover, and rebound.

In addition to the up-front donations provided by Keolis, the business has established a special employee marching program. Intended to align with the Thanksgiving holiday, the funds raised and matched will be donated to the Florida Public Transportation Association to support transit industry professionals who are in need.

"Keolis stands in support of the people affected by Hurricane Ian," said David Scorey, Keolis North America CEO. "We are thankful to our own employees’ willingness to help, and to our partners at the Jewish Federation of Broward County, Volunteer Florida, and the Florida Public Transportation Association for their efforts in impacted communities.”

Keolis operates transit services at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport and has team members who live and work across the state of Florida.
