KEOLIS PARTNERS WITH COMMUNITY TO BEAUTIFY STATION ON THE FALL RIVER/NEW BEDFORD LINE

“Keolis Cares” cleanup at Fall River Station on Wednesday

October 23, 2026 (BOSTON) – Keolis Commuter Services (Keolis), the MBTA's operations and maintenance partner for Commuter Rail, recently completed cleanup and beautification efforts along the Fall River/New Bedford Line as part of the company’s Keolis Cares program. Keolis volunteers worked with community groups and local elected officials at Fall River Station to clear trash and debris, clear overgrown areas, and plant flowers.

“Keolis is proud to partner with our community groups and elected officials to brighten Commuter Rail stations each Fall and Spring season,” said Keolis CEO and General Manager John Killeen. “Ridership on the Fall River/New Bedford Line continues to exceed expectations, and these stations are an important asset to the community. I’d like to thank all of the Keolis employees, neighborhood groups, and local officials who volunteered their time at these cleanup efforts.”

The event was held in partnership with the MBTA, elected officials, the Fall River Garden Club, and the Fall River Young Marines.

"I appreciate Keolis bringing together the community to help beautify the Fall River Station," said Representative Carole Fiola. "It is so important to take pride in our city and maintain it with care. Southcoast Rail is a major investment in our region and keeping it beautiful is a priority."

"I want to extend my sincere thanks to the team at Keolis Cares and the dedicated members of the Young Marines and the Fall River Garden Club for their efforts in cleaning up our local train station,” said Fall River Mayor Paul Coogan. “Keolis has once again demonstrated what it means to be a true community partner, going above and beyond their daily operational duties to invest our public spaces. On behalf of the entire city, thank you for your hard work, your civic leadership, and your commitment to keeping our community beautiful."
