Keolis and NAVYA Presented its Autonomous Shuttle on Demo at the APTA Expo
The largest public transportation expo in the world, The American Public Transportation Association (APTA) Expo brings thousands of people, and NAVYA was there with its partner KEOLIS.
The triennial expo was held this year in Atlanta from October 9th to 11th
It was a busy week in Atlanta for public transit. According to the organizers, more than 12.000 people from all over the world were in Atlanta to participate at the APTA Expo.
The APTA Expo has showing off to the world the very latest technologies and services on the market such as drones, virtual reality and autonomous shuttles.
In partnership with KEOLIS North America, NAVYA did many demonstrations of its autonomous and driverless shuttle for the people to experience the future of mobility. More than 1.000 people got a ride aboard our autonomous shuttle during this expo.
As a reminder, the AUTONOM SHUTTLE can carry up to 15 passengers, 11 seated and 4 standing, the maximum operating speed during the trial is 25 km/h and the vehicle can operate for up to 13h on a single charge.
Before fencing the expo as the keynote speaker, the US Secretary of Transportation, Elaine L.Chao met again with the NAVYA team to test the driverless AUTONOM SHUTTLE, and discuss about the positive aspects of our AUTONOM SHUTTLE which transports passengers on the first and last mile.
