KEOLIS EXTENDS CONTRACT WITH VALLEY METRO FOR EAST VALLEY FIXED ROUTE BUS SERVICE
Four-Year Extension Through 2030 Continues Keolis’ Commitment to Reliable, Sustainable Transit in the Metro Phoenix Region
PHOENIX – Keolis announces a four-year extension of its contract with Valley Metro to continue operating the East Valley Fixed Route Bus Service, extending the agreement through December 31, 2030. The Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority (RPTA) Board of Directors initially awarded Keolis the contract in 2023, with operations commencing January 1, 2024. This contract includes four-year and three-year options, which totals a maximum contract term of up to 10 years.
Under this extension, Keolis will continue to manage and operate fixed route bus service across the East Valley, serving communities including the cities of Tempe, Mesa, Chandler, Scottsdale, the town of Gilbert, parts of Phoenix and into the Gila River Indian Community. The extension reflects Valley Metro’s confidence in Keolis’ operational performance, safety record, and commitment to delivering high-quality transit service to the communities it serves.
The East Valley Fixed Route Bus Service is a critical component of the Valley Metro regional transit network, connecting residents to employment centers, education, healthcare, and essential services across one of the fastest-growing metropolitan areas in the United States.
