KEOLIS DOUBLES ISO 39001 CERTIFICATIONS ACROSS U.S. TRANSIT PORTFOLIO FURTHER STRENGTHENING RECORD OF PASSENGER AND ROAD SAFETY

Four additional locations achieve certification in 2026, illustrating the Keolis commitment to apply internationally recognized standards across North American operations.

BOSTON – October 27, 2026 – Keolis strengthens its position as a leader in operational excellence across the North American public transportation industry, by doubling their ISO 39001 certified locations in 2026. Four existing certified locations also successfully completed their annual surveillance audits.

Keolis continues to distinguish itself competitively through its commitment to internationally recognized management standards across all operations. Keolis is the only major public transportation operator in North America with this level of ISO 39001 certification across its operating network, providing a consistent framework for continuous improvement, accountability, and operational excellence.

The newly certified locations include Van Nuys in California, Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC Washoe) in Nevada, Victor Valley Transit Authority (VVTA) in California, and Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida.

In addition, Loudoun County and Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) in Virginia, Orange County Transportation Authority (OCTA) and Foothill Transit in California all successfully passed their annual ISO 39001 surveillance audits. This reaffirms an ongoing commitment to maintain the rigorous standards required for certification as well as the daily focus of each employee on road safety and the safety of the passengers.

“ISO 39001 certification is more than a credential—it is a reflection of how we operate,” said Fadi Chakbazof, president and chief operating officer for U.S. Transit at Keolis in North America. “The continued growth of our ISO 39001-certified network demonstrates the discipline and dedication of our teams while creating a meaningful point of differentiation for Keolis. Our clients and communities benefit from an organization that is committed to measuring performance, strengthening processes, and continually finding ways to improve.”

ISO management standards provide Keolis with a structured framework to strengthen processes, identify opportunities for improvement, and promote consistency across its operations. As the company expands its certified network, it can also share best practices and expertise across locations and draw on the knowledge and experience of the broader Keolis global network. These efforts serve to strengthen the Keolis commitment to safety for the employees, partners and most importantly the passengers.

Keolis will continue to expand and strengthen its use of internationally recognized management systems as part of its broader commitment to safety, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and reliable service. The company is successfully working toward a goal to certify all U.S. operations under ISO 39001.
