Keolis Continues to Grow U.S. Footprint with Three Contract Renewals

In the past six months, Keolis expands U.S. transit portfolio with addition of six contracts.

BOSTON  March 18, 2026 Keolis in North America is proud to announce the successful renewal of three key contracts in the U.S. transit portfolio, reinforcing the company’s long-standing partnerships and commitment to safe, reliable, and customer-focused mobility services across the country.

The renewals include continued operations at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport in Florida; the Potomac and Rappahannock Transportation Commission (PRTC) in Virginia; and the Regional Transportation Commission of Washoe County (RTC Washoe) in Nevada. The contract renewals reflect strong performance, trusted partnerships, and shared goals of delivering high-quality transit solutions tailored to each community’s needs.

“At Keolis in North America, contract renewals are a powerful endorsement of our team members’ dedication and our clients’ confidence in our ability to deliver,” said Francis Julien, regional vice president of operations for U.S. transit. “We are honored to continue serving these communities and advancing safe, innovative, and sustainable mobility solutions.”

Strengthening Trusted Partnerships

At Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport, Keolis will continue a one-year extension providing critical shuttle operations that connect millions of travelers annually to ensure seamless ground mobility at one of Florida’s busiest airports.

Keolis will build on its established relationship operating the OmniRide services for PRTC in Northern Virginia for the next two years. This service delivers critical fixed-route, commuter, and paratransit services in addition to connections to the Virginia Railway Express (VRE) train services, which Keolis also operates, in the DMV metropolitan area.

In Reno, Nevada and the surrounding area, the renewal with RTC Washoe enables Keolis to continue delivering transit services throughout the greater Reno-Sparks region, supporting economic growth and regional connectivity for the next five years.

Momentum Across the Portfolio

These renewals are in addition to recent announcements for new contracts in the U.S. including:

  • A new contract with VRE to operate and maintain commuter rail service connecting Northern Virginia to Washington, D.C., strengthens Keolis’ growing rail footprint in North America.
  • The award of operations for bus service on the island of Nantucket in Massachusetts expands the company’s footprint in the state including partnership with the Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority to operate and maintain the Commuter Rail service and parking facilities along with the Metro West Regional Transit Authority to provide fixed-route bus and on-demand services.

Together, these wins and renewals underscore Keolis’ balanced portfolio across bus, paratransit, rail, parking, and airport mobility services, as well as its commitment to delivering operational excellence and strong community partnerships. Across North America, Keolis focuses on safety performance, workforce development, customer experience, and innovation. The company continues investing in technology, sustainability initiatives, and frontline employee training to ensure consistent, high-quality service for passengers and public agency partners.

“These renewals represent more than contracts—they reflect trust in our expertise and the value we deliver,” added Fadi Chakbazof, president and chief operating officer for U.S. Transit. “We look forward to continuing to support our partners’ visions for modern, resilient, and accessible customer-centered transportation systems.”
